My husband and I have lived in Blue Ridge, Georgia for over 15 years raising beef cattle and Dartmoor ponies on our family farm and have been involved with agriculture for over 30 years.

I have been involved with horses most of my life, starting with 4-H Club, Pony Club, riding hunters, and carriage driving. I retired from my nursing career after 10 years to open Cohutta Country Store on November 3, 2006.

My husband, Jim, is a practicing veterinarian who previously owned Bells Ferry Veterinary Hospital in Acworth, Georgia for 32 years. His practice included dogs, cats, rabbits, exotic birds, wildlife, pocket pets, goats, pot bellied pigs, horses, and cattle. He is currently working part-time at local veterinary hospitals in the north Georgia area.

Our interest and dedication to young people, farm families, the community, pets, and livestock have inspired us to open Cohutta Country Store. Our store allows access to Purina research and top quality foods that can be individualized to your animals needs. Cohutta Country Store is also a Southern States dealer, which allows us to provide a wide variety of feeds and supplies. In addition to agricultural products, we carry Carharrt and Wrangler clothing, boots, gifts, fudge and quality nutrition for your pets including many holelistic brands.
